Minnesota: Leading the way toward reproductive freedom for all

Even as anti-abortion activists and politicians attack reproductive rights and health care access across the country, we’ve dramatically expanded them here in Minnesota. Let’s keep going.

Minnesota can be a national leader in reproductive rights and justice, abortion access, and health care access — and in a single, historic legislative session, we’ve made major progress toward that goal.

We’ve dismantled five decades of anti-abortion restrictions. We’ve enshrined the right to abortion in Minnesota law. And we’ve made our state a safe haven for everyone who needs, provides, or helps someone get abortion care.

But there’s still more to do.

Significant barriers to abortion access are still keeping too many people in Minnesota from getting the care they need, when they need it. And while the legal rights and safeguards we’ve established are important, they don’t mean much to people for whom affordability and other obstacles stand in the way of equitable access to essential reproductive health care.

Our legislative agenda for 2024 (and beyond) is a roadmap for clearing those barriers away and further advancing and defending the promise of full reproductive freedom for everyone in Minnesota and everyone who comes here seeking care.

We need your help keeping up the momentum and fulfilling the promise of reproductive freedom for all. Please join us.
