Founded in 2000, the Abortion Conversations Project is committed to eliminating the stigma of abortion by supporting individuals and small groups engaged in innovative community-based projects that create new ways and opportunities to talk about abortion honestly and publicly. We envision a world in which abortion is affirmed as a moral decision without stigma. We believe that open and honest conversations, in a safe environment, about the experience of abortion will begin to create this world.

National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum
National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF) is the leading progressive organization building power with Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women and girls across the country to gain full agency over our lives, families, and communities. Since 2005, the St. Cloud Chapter has served as a safe space for community building and political education for AAPI women and girls in Central Minnesota. In 2022, we rebranded to NAPAWF Minnesota to expand our work into the rest of the state.

Our Justice was founded in 1967 by a small group of doctors, clergy, and community members to assist Minnesota women in accessing abortion care. Our Justice supports people’s reproductive and sexual human rights through their Abortion Access Fund, Abortion Assistance Lodging Program, and community advocacy grounded in reproductive justice.

Red River Women’s Clinic
Red River Women’s Clinic provides abortion care for patients from North and South Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. We provide both in-clinic and medication abortion options as well as a range of birth control options for our patients. We are committed to breaking down the barriers for patients seeking abortion, working closely with the ND WIN Abortion Access Fund to offer both financial and practical resources to our patients, and partnering with Plants for Patients, a non-profit that provides notes of encouragement and a potted plant to each abortion patient we serve. Our amazing community of volunteer escorts also provide our patients and their families with physical and emotional support as they arrive at our clinic.

In particular, SPIRAL Collective is committed to eliminating barriers to abortion access by honoring bodily autonomy and collective liberation. They accomplish this by providing trauma-informed practical abortion support and through community-based education and organizing.

Our policy priorities are based on our mission – eliminating racism, empowering women and girls, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all – a mission we share with over 200 other local associations / sister sites across the U.S. under YWCA USA. YWCA Minneapolis operates three health and wellness centers, five early childhood education centers (in Minneapolis and Saint Paul), one of the largest in and out of school time youth programs in the metro (including Contact Plus, a comprehensive sexuality education program for youth), a dynamic Racial Justice & Public Policy team offering community education, organizational partnerships, and advocacy work, and a cohort model workforce development program to train teachers to get their CDA accreditation for early childhood education.
