Saint Paul, MN—Ahead of the House Finance and Policy Committee meeting today, the Unrestrict Minnesota coalition issued the following statement, strongly condemning two harmful bills under consideration—HF24, the so-called “Born Alive” bill and HF 25 the “Supporting Women Act.”

“In their first week of leadership, Minnesota House Republicans have made their priorities crystal clear: attacking Minnesotans’ bodily autonomy, spreading misinformation, and undermining reproductive freedom. The so-called ‘Born Alive’ bill is a deceptive attempt to push false narratives about abortion and interfere in private medical decisions, while another bill would funnel public money into anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers that mislead and manipulate people. These bills are a dangerous reflection of their extremist agenda, and Minnesotans deserve better.”
