Medication Abortion Under Attack

Yesterday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled to reinstate restrictions on medication abortion.

This decision was the next step in Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA, where a group of anti-abortion doctors are trying to reverse the decades-old approval of mifepristone. This decision sets the case up to go to the Supreme Court.

Evidence has shown mifepristone to be safe and effective. Attempting to cut off access to this essential medication is just another way that the anti-abortion movement is trying to ban all abortion.
