Impact of Dobbs on Native Communities

Abortion Clinic Closures

23 independently-owned abortion clinics closed in 2023, in addition to the 42 that shuttered in 2022.

With Minnesota now an island of access, it’s more critical than ever that the state’s clinics receive the support they require to remain open – and that means abortion reimbursement rates MUST increase to cover the costs to clinics. Keeping state medical assistance reimbursement rates low restricts the ability of clinics to provide abortion care during a national public health crisis.
