Keep Politics Out of Healthcare Decisions

We sat down with a member of Med Students for Choice to discuss Minnesota’s abortion restrictions and what the current laws and mandates mean for doctors. In Minnesota, anti-abortion politicians have passed laws that mandate doctors read a script to their patients filled with medically inaccurate information, which could seriously damage the trust between a patient and their doctor.

“This whole script is making a lot of assumptions, and it’s medically inaccurate, and also, it violates the idea of what informed consent really is.”
