abortion helps families flourish
I had an abortion in 2012 due to fetal anomaly. I’d always been pro choice but never thought I’d need to get an abortion myself. If it weren’t for that abortion, I wouldn’t have the most wonderful soon-to-be-nine-year-old kid ever, because I got pregnant shortly after my abortion. It bothers the hell out of me that all these anti-choice people can’t see how abortion helps families flourish.

right to choose
I believe that every pregnant person deserves the right to choose what they do with their body, regardless of the circumstances. Our country is moving towards becoming more fascist each day, and I have learned that grassroots movements are the way to affect change and protect the people. I’m hoping to do as much as I can to participate in groups like Unrestrict Minnesota who support and protect the people. We know that the overturning of Roe is not the end, so we need to band together to fight back against fascism and white supremacy.

unconditional abortion rights
I support -unconditional- abortion rights because medical care is not something that is debatable.

simply healthcare
It’s simply healthcare and the right for people with uteruses to have control not only over their bodies but their lives. Leaving abortion up to the states is a direct attack on people of color and those with lower socioeconomic statuses. It ALSO puts stress on states that have kept abortions legal. Having different access to rights based on your location is a gross form of discrimination. Having a child and being pregnant takes a physical, mental, and financial LOAD on the birthing person and shouldn’t be forced upon ANYONE. There are a million reasons why abortion access should be accessible to all.

did the right thing
I am a proud mother of 3 beautiful children. My firstborn was at the age of 18. Now before I gave birth to my first, I had an abortion at the age of 16. I was way too young to have a baby. I was too young when I gave birth at 18, but at that point I was at least a high school graduate and enrolled in college. Now fast forwarding to the age of 27, I had just given birth to my third child which was taken from me by the state due to an ongoing struggle with pain killers… …About a year later totally given up on myself and totally defeated not having my kids and being outcasted from my family I was full blown using heroin and other drugs again more then ever and living a risky lifestyle of unprotected sex, I became pregnant again. I was in no position to have a child. I was homeless, jobless, I had no money and I had a major drug problem. Even if I cleaned up and magically became employed and had a place of my own and a car and all these material things and beat a drug addiction all before giving birth (which is totally unrealistic) I was still considered an ‘unfit parent’ to the state and the baby would have just gone to the state. So my decision to have an abortion to me felt like the right thing to do. I know I did the right thing back at the age of 16 when I was too young and naive and irresponsible and I know I did the right thing when I was lonely, depressed, strung out and unwell.
