Defending Access at the Capitol & in Our Communities
This year, threats to abortion access came fast and furious — and UnRestrict Minnesota stood with grassroots advocates and Minnesotans like you to fiercely defend our rights.
ICE’s occupation forced countless Minnesotans to shelter in place, stopping people from accessing time-sensitive reproductive health care. In response, providers worked to offer at-home support and organizations mobilized to get groceries, menstrual products, and childcare supplies to families in need. Leadership came from organizations deeply rooted in communities most directly impacted — including Ayada Leads, Future of Us, Paper Lantern Project, and Our Justice. Support our partners.
We are resisting a nationwide anti-access agenda also seen in federal attempts to severely restrict Medicaid funding and limit access to abortion care, contraceptives, and gender-affirming care — and in anti-autonomy lawmakers’ actions at the Minnesota Legislature. But together with advocates like you, UnRestrict Minnesota is making it clear: access to care is our right and our rights aren’t up for debate.
