Reproductive freedom for everyone

This week, the super-conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against affirmative action in college admissions and, on the last day of Pride month, opened the door for businesses and individuals to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people.
We know that in order to achieve reproductive freedom for ALL people, we must address the intersecting forms of social, economic, and political oppression that affect the lives of individuals, families, and communities.
As we gear up for the work ahead, our team is taking time to rest and recharge. Our office will be closed from July 3 – 14. We look forward to reconnecting and charging ahead after the break!

North Dakota Abortion Ban Lawsuit Update
We have been closely following the state of abortion access in neighboring North Dakota as our partner, Red River Women’s Clinic, was forced to relocate from Fargo, North Dakota, to Moorhead, Minnesota.
This month, UnRestrict Minnesota Partner Gender Justice joined the Center for Reproductive Rights and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in filing an amended lawsuit to block the North Dakota legislature’s extreme new abortion ban.
“Extreme anti-abortion politicians in the North Dakota legislature want to totally ban abortion across the state at all costs and will throw out our own state’s constitution to do so,” said Christina Sambor, North Dakota State Director at Gender Justice.
