Crisis Pregnancy Center Teach-In

Join UnRestrict Minnesota and our partners at the Minnesota Abortion Action Committee (MNAAC) for a Crisis Pregnancy Center Teach-In at Minneapolis Central Library on Wednesday, May 22 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. You will learn about what crisis pregnancy/anti-abortion centers are and how to identify them, how crisis pregnancy centers are connected to broader right-wing and anti-abortion movements, and how you can take action to combat their harms.

Register for EMERGE Session 2

Our Justice is re-launching their post-abortion support group, EMERGE, to provide emotional and bodily healing spaces for people who have had abortions. EMERGE is a space for people who have had abortions to talk about their experiences with other people who have had abortions. It is an emotionally supportive, judgment-free, abortion-positive space focused on healing, emotional care, and stigma-busting.

OutFront Minnesota is looking to hire two organizers in Duluth that will work in Duluth and Greater Minnesota. OutFront Minnesota’s mission is to build power within Minnesota’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and address inequities through intersectional organizing, advocacy, education, and direct support services. Organizers will support OutFront’s work advancing LGBTQ+ equity in the Duluth area and the northwestern counties of Minnesota.

Can States Ban Emergency Abortion Care?

In this episode of The Gender Justice Brief, Gender Justice legal and policy experts are joined by the Lawyering Project’s Rupali Sharma to discuss the oral arguments in the case Idaho v. United States and Moyle et al., or the “EMTALA” (Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act) case. The case centers on whether or not state abortion bans supersede the federal law mandating that hospital emergency departments receiving federal funding must stabilize a patient whose life or health is at risk.
