Here is some helpful information to review before you arrive.

9:30 – 10:15 – MORNING PROGRAM
- We’ll do a walkthrough of the day, talk about our legislative priorities, and talk about what to expect in your legislative meetings!
10:30 – 1:00 – WORKSHOPS
History Center Auditorium
- 10:30 AM: Reproductive Justice 101 (led by Our Justice)
- 11:15 AM: Changing Hearts and Minds (led By Planned Parenthood MN, ND, SD Action Fund)
- 12:00 PM: Trans Equity Training (led by Gender Justice and OutFront Minnesota)
- 12:45 PM: Crisis Pregnancy Center Teach-In (led by MNAAC)

- 10:30 – 11:30 – Zine Making
12:30 – 2:00 – Committee Hearing on Reproductive Health Bills (Capitol G-15)
Join us in the Senate Commerce Meeting for a hearing of the Abortion Coverage Act and the Gender Affirming Care Coverage Act
2:00 – RALLY IN THE ROTUNDA
- At 2:00 we will be gathering in the Capitol rotunda to show legislators the broad support for abortion access across the state.
- Make your voice loud and hear from reproductive rights, health, and justice leaders in Minnesota!
Participant Information
Registration:
Lobby Day attendees can pick up their name badge, t-shirt, and materials at the registration desk located near the main entrance of the MN History Center, 345 W Kellogg Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55102, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7th. Check in will be divided alphabetically by Last/Family Name. Day of registration is also available.
Parking & Public Transportation:
Parking: The parking lot at the Minnesota History Center is available to building visitors, members, and the general public when spaces are available. Enter from Kellogg Boulevard.
Daily parking is $6. Event rates may apply for special programs or when events occur downtown.
Limited accessible parking is available free of charge (with permit) at the parking meters when you pull into the History Center drive. Additional accessible parking is available for $6 in the parking lot.
Go Green: UnRestrict Minnesota encourages attendees to consider public transportation options as they plan their commute to this year’s Lobby Day and is providing two free Metro Transit passes to attendees. Use password “unrestrictmn2024” to download your two free Metro Transit passes HERE. Use Metro Transit’s Trip Planner or mobile app to plan your commute.
To redeem your all-day metro transit pass (recommended):
- Download the Metro Transit app (recommended), Token Transit, or Moovit app and create an account. If you already have an account with one of these apps, great! Go directly to step 2.
- Visit this page and enter the email address associated with your account and the promo code unrestrictmn2024.
- Your pass will be emailed to the address you provided in step 2. Check your email for instructions or follow the prompts on the confirmation screen to redeem the pass to your app’s digital wallet. Activate the pass when ready to ride. Show bus or rail operator your digital ticket upon boarding.
Metro Transit Light Rail – Green Line: Metro Transit Light Rail – Green Line: Metro Transit bus routes 16, 21, and 94 stop near the Minnesota History Center. The MNHC is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Capitol/Rice Street light rail station. Please visit the Metro Transit website for detailed information. Metro Transit offers an online Trip Planner that allows travelers to create a custom personal schedule to travel by light rail to Saint Paul. To do so, enter your starting address and select Minnesota State Capitol as your landmark.
Accessibility Shuttle: For guests with mobility disabilities, a shuttle to the Minnesota State Capitol from the Minnesota History Center will be provided. The Minnesota History Center paratransit pick up zone is located just outside the Main Entrance (see map HERE). The State Capitol paratransit drop off zone is located on Cedar St (see map HERE).

Travel/Parking Reimbursement: If you would like to be reimbursed for parking/mileage. Please reach out to greardon@unrestrictmn.org after Lobby Day with receipts/proof of mileage and we can begin the reimbursement process.
Internet Access:
Free WiFi is available throughout the Minnesota History Center. Please log on to the “Guest” network.
Child Care:
Child care is provided from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m and located in the Heffelfinger Room on Level 1 of the Minnesota History Center. Look for Lobby Day staff to help direct you to the correct room. To register your child(ren) for child care, please email atzin.rayas@genderjustice.us.
Additional Reminders:
- Flava Cafe’s bagels and coffee service will be available from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. in the Heffelfinger Room at the Minnesota History Center. Lunch vouchers to the Rathskeller Cafe and Transportation Cafe, will be provided by UnRestrict Minnesota. There will be gluten free and vegetarian options available.
- Rathskeller Cafe is located in the State Capitol building on the Ground Floor. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Transportation Cafe is located in the Transportation building on the First Floor. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- COVID-19 Policy: We request that those in attendance mask when not eating or drinking. We will have some at registration available for you to use
- A “Parent’s Room” available for nursing is located on Level 3 at the Minnesota History Center.
- A “Quiet Room” available for prayer and meditation is located on Level 2 at the Minnesota History Center.
