The Importance of Doe V. Gomez

Every one of us, not just some of us, should have the power and the ability to decide whether or when to become a parent. It’s about freedom and control over our lives at our most basic level: our bodies, our families, our life’s path. Thankfully, the Minnesota Supreme Court affirmed abortion is legal and a constitutional right in 1995 as a result of the Doe V. Gomez trial. Despite this, anti-abortion politicians have continued to pass laws that infringe on our rights.
