Celebrate Minnesota’s Abortion Providers!
The people who work and volunteer at abortion clinics are true heroes. Despite facing harassment from anti-abortion protesters, legal barriers that complicate their essential work, and stigma from a culture that does not always value the work they do or recognize the compassion they show to every patient they encounter, abortion providers persist.
Abortion providers include: the volunteer clinic escorts who shield patients from protesters on their way in the door to the clinic; the receptionists who field calls from people anxious about their appointments; the advocates who guide every patient through their options; the doulas who hold each patient’s hand in the clinic and talk them through the process; the nurses who monitor their patients’ vital signs; the physicians who provide care; the activists who volunteer for abortion funds so that everyone can receive the care that they need — and more.
There are so many roles in abortion care, and every person involved at every step of the way deserves our respect and admiration. Sending a sincere note of thanks is a great way to show your appreciation.
You can help us celebrate Minnesota’s abortion providers by telling them you how much you appreciate all they do to ensure that abortion care is available in our communities.
