Attention: Two Bills Aim to Protect Physician’s Integrity and Minnesotans’ Right to Access Clinics Without Intimidation

This legislative session, two bills will highlight the need to remove current restrictions and provide what 80% of Minnesota voters agree on when it comes to accessing abortion care: respect for an individual’s decision and no protesters.

Protect Physician’s Integrity Act
Since abortion became legal in 1973 with the Roe v. Wade decision, states have enacted over 1,000 abortion restrictions, with over 400 of them being passed between 2010-2015.

Get politicians out of the doctor’s office. The Protect Physician’s Integrity Act repeals Minnesota’s 24-hour abortion waiting period and gives physicians the ability to refuse state-mandated lectures that are medically inaccurate and only serve to shame those seeking abortion care. Minnesota Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act
Women should never have to choose between their safety and their healthcare.

Minnesota Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (Minnesota FACE Act) protects a pregnant person’s right to access medical care without threat or intimidation. The bill makes it illegal to block or intimidate a patient, provider, or staff person while they are entering or exiting a reproductive health clinic. Learn more about this act.
