Minneapolis has declared, today, March 10 as Abortion Provider Appreciation Day, following the St. Paul City Council who made the same proclamation last week.
Today, we honor and give thanks Minnesota healthcare providers, clinic escorts, nurses, and clinic staff who work tirelessly to make abortion care possible. Our abortion providers do so much more than just provide health care — they are advocates, activists, and protectors ensuring that all Minnesotans receive compassionate care.
Minnesota only has five clinics left that provide abortion, and the staff at these clinics constantly face protesters, abortion restrictions, even violence and harassment — and yet they still provide compassionate care to all who need it.
Minnesota’s five remaining abortion clinics are:
- WE Health Clinic
- Whole Woman’s Health
- Robbinsdale Clinic
- Planned Parenthood – Rochester
- Planned Parenthood – St. Paul
Use today to celebrate providers, a simple way to do share a post on social media using the hashtag #CelebrateAbortionProviders and tell providers how much you appreciate the work they do.
